Dr. Amirul Islam Mallick is a clinical veterinarian and Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Biological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research-Kolkata, India. Dr. Mallick received his post- doctoral training at Dept of Pathobiology, Ontario Veterinary College, (2008-2010) and University of Toronto ON, Canada (2010-2014) . He is a recipient of Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) Fellowship (2012) and Early Career Research Award (2016) (SERB, Govt. of India). His research focuses on understanding the interplay between host and pathogen during infection and immunity. Currently, his group is engaged in developing safe and effective control measures against mucosal pathogens such as avian influenza and Campylobacter jejuni using novel strategies such as live vectored based antigen delivery approach.
