Dr. Marina Brash

DVM, DVSc, Diplomate ACVP

Following graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph, Dr. Brash spent 5 years in a mixed animal practice in mid-western Ontario and then returned to the department of Pathology at the OVC for post-graduate studies. Subsequent to the completion of a DVSC in Anatomic Pathology, Dr. Brash accepted a position as a pathologist for avian and fur-bearing species with the Veterinary Laboratory Services, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food. During her time with VLS, she obtained board certification with the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. After eight years in a technical and marketing position in an allied industry, she returned to her original position as pathologist, avian and fur-bearing species with the Animal Health Laboratory, Laboratory Services Division, University of Guelph. As part of the OMAFRA-University of Guelph Partnership, Dr. Brash provides veterinary diagnostic and consultative services to the poultry industry, as well as other agricultural and non-agricultural clients. In addition to actively supporting teaching activities in the Department of Pathobiology, she also collaborates with various researchers at the University of Guelph as well as internationally. Marina is on the executive board for both the Ontario Association of Poultry Practitioners (OAPP) and the Canadian Association of Poultry Veterinarians (CAPV) and also serves as communications co-ordinator for the OAPP.
